Happy belated 4th, everyone! We hope you had a chance to celebrate with family and friends. More importantly, we hope you've been getting outside plenty and sending all those epic projects! You outdoor craggers may be interested in the Rock Rescue Clinic we have planned next Wednesday (sign up at the end of this email). Please note, we are taking advantage of the slower summer pace and on Saturday, July 22 both gyms will close at 3:00pm for an all-staff party. But we will make it up to you in a big way with our annual customer appreciation party at the Summer Stimulus Competition and Celebration on Saturday, August 5 at RJ Centennial (more info below). We hope to see everyone there!

Summer Stimulus '17 Competition and Celebration
Great Problems, Cash Prizes, and Free Food
The Summer Stimulus Comp is back for a second year at RJ Centennial! This year's summer party will feature a bouldering competition on 40 brand new problems. The preliminary round runs from 9am-1pm and is $15 to enter. The purse is 50% of all registration fees! The top 5 females and top 5 males after prelims compete in finals at 2pm, and the top 3 finishers of each gender split the purse! Climbing will be closed to non-competitors till 1pm, but you don't need to climb to attend. We'll serve free Whiskey Barrel Coffee in the morning,and fire up the grills for a cookout around noon. Plus, we'll have beer on tap from Lone Tree Brewing. Food and drink are free, so sign up now!

On Wednesday, July 19 we will explore the building blocks for self-rescue techniques such as essential hitches and knots, as well as practicing belay escapes and other technical rope skills to advance your climbing in this hands-on clinic led by Denver Mountain Guiding founder Kevin Capps. $30 for RJ Members, $35 for non-members.
