Climb Denver's Backyard: Outdoor Clinics & BBQ

Backyard 2017 poster small.png

In partnership with Denver Mountain Guiding and the American Alpine Club, RJ is bringing back Climb Denver's Backyard! On June 24 DMG guides will lead several outdoor clinics in Clear Creek Canyon throughout the morning. In the afternoon, we will return to the AAC Headquarters in Golden for an afterparty with BBQ, beer, and some friendly lawn games. Clinics are only $20 and space is limited, so sign up now! The afterparty is free and open to everyone. Please also sign up for the afterparty in addition to any clinics so we are sure to prepare enough food. While the BBQ is free, we ask that you bring a donation to help support the American Alpine Club's Live Your Dream Grant. The purpose of this grant is to support and promote unforgettable experiences for climbers—to dream big, to grow, and to inspire others.

Intro to Multi-Pitch and Transitions at RJ Centennial

Join us on June 28 from 6:00-8:30pm at RJ Centennial for this invaluable clinic. Topics covered will include building a proper anchor, how to belay a follower, and transitioning from follower to leader. The clinic costs $35, or $30 for RJ Members. Check out more info below and register now!

Conquer Fear and Push Your Lead Climbing Further

Struggling to push past the fear of falling on the sharp end of the rope? Warrior's Way instructor Jes Meiris is coming back to RJ to run a falling and commitment clinic. You will learn to assess fall risks, how to mentally prepare for falls, and will incrementally build to bigger and bigger falls to help you get beyond the limitations caused by fear. Jes will be at RJ Centennial Wednesday, June 14 from 5:30-10:00pm. The clinic is full, but email rj2@climbthebest.com to sign up for the wait list.
