Intermediate Technique Series

Been climbing for a few months and notice your progression slowing? Climbing harder doesn’t always require more strength. Often it means climbing efficiently. We teach footwork to enhance power and balance, optimal ways to grip holds, and fluid movement to maximize your energy. This series of 3 one-hour classes will improve your technique, giving you the moves you need to take your climbing to the next level.

RJ Centennial Schedule
First 3 Thursdays of each month from 6-7pm

Learn to Lead

In this 2-part series we will teach you the do’s and don’ts of lead climbing and lead belaying. In the first part of the class, we practice proper clipping as a lead climber. In the second 2-hour portion, we focus on lead belaying. We recommend that you comfortably climb 5.10’s in the gym before signing up for this class, and you must be certified to top-rope belay at RJ.

Adult Club

We have taken our youth program materials that have taken some of our kids all the way to Nationals and have redefined them to create this new offering for adults. This meetup group is geared toward newer climbers and will be led by one of our youth coaches. Typical class format will be a quick lesson followed by an application and climbing together. Topics include warming up, injury prevention, and body awareness along with other climbing skillsets. Join us at RJ Centennial Monday nights from 6:30-8:30pm and at RJ Thornton Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm!
