Vinyasa Level 2 (RJ1)

Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic yoga practice that cultivates presence by connecting movement with breath. Most classes feature several elements of traditional Ashtanga yoga—including sun salutations, standing poses, preparation for arm balances, dynamic stretching, and pranayama (breathwork).This practice will build strength, aid balance and weight loss, while reducing stress and increasing vitality.
In Level 2 we will explore complex movements including classic arm balances layered over solid foundations. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down, may incorporate more intense breathing practices, and incorporate deeper backbends, hip opening, twists, and forward folds. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes already feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
